Tari, in Southern Highlands Province, is the main town for the Huli Wigmen and also the centre of the Tari basin. Tari is a very small town with little to offer except the people and the beautiful surrounding countryside.
Wewak is the provincial capital of the East Sepik Province, and is a thriving, important commercial centre, separated from the Sepik Basin by the Prince Alexander mountain range.
The capital of Sandaun Province, Vanimo, sits on a peninsula with beaches on either side and everything is within walking distance. Vanimo is small and quiet and the people here are generous and hospitable.
