Services of PNG Air Niugini expect to get a boost with arrival of a new aircraft

The services of Papua New Guineas Air Niugini is expected to get a boost with the arrival of a new Boeing B757 aircraft this week.

The Newspaper, the national, reports The aircraft’s acquisition through a long-term lease arrangement brings to 18 the current fleet which is hoped to bring relief to international travellers during the festive season.

The company’s chief executive officer, Wasantha Kumarasiri, says the acquisition of the B757 as the second operating aircraft on international routes will improve schedule reliability and performance.

Since May 2006, Air Niugini has managed to introduce eight additional aircraft.
